About Sea Tree House
Sea Tree House is a grand grade II listed Georgian house dating back over 200 years with a fascinating heritage and was lovingly restored by the owner, David Parker.
Sea Tree House was also once part of Hiscott's Boarding House where Jane Austen is believed to have stayed when she visited Lyme Regis in 1804. With its spectacular bay windows looking directly out onto the Cobb you can see the steps where Louisa Musgrove took a tumble in Persuasion and imagine yourself as Meryl Streep looking out to sea on the end of the Cobb in the film of John Fowles' French Lieutenant's Woman.
In this main building are Tulip Tree Apartment and Tamarind Tree Apartment. Both have elegant and spacious sitting-rooms with the dining area in the large bay windows with views over the sea. Tulip Tree Apartment has the most spectacular views whereas Tamarind Tree Apartment on the ground floor, still with sea views because of its elevated position, has the advantage of opening directly out onto the garden with its own private patio area.
Arranged on separate floors, each is a completely private, one bed-roomed apartment with its own hallway, lounge, kitchen and bathroom. Look out for the exotic murals in the bathroom and the romantic cast iron roll top bath in Tamarind Tree. Within the calm and gentle atmosphere of Sea Tree House, each spacious apartment is uniquely different but shares the same standard of furnishings and elegant decor.

In additions to the two apartments in the main house we now have a new apartment, Sea Tree Cottage. Converted from an old Georgian Coach House, Sea Tree Cottage is a delightful bright and cheerful self contained holiday apartment with sea views from both the bedroom and the lounge. It is set in a quiet position above the gardens leading down to the sea.
